Gympanzees is a Bristol based organisation created for children and young people with additional needs.
It has a Lending Library which enables families from Bristol and surrounding areas to borrow specialist equipment for free, to use within their homes.

During the Summer and Easter holidays, they also run their specialist pop-up play sessions for children with additional needs, which you can find out more about on their website: www.gympanzees.org
Super Sense at Imperial Sports Ground in South Bristol, is a brand new sensory room.
They run lots of different sessions Monday – Friday and at weekends, aimed at children and young people with additional needs, up to the age of 18.
Sessions change weekly and include after school sessions, ones for children with limited mobility, quiet sessions and ones that don't mind being in a loud environment and around others.Numbers are limited to 15 per session and children need to be accompanied by an adult.
Sessions cost £3.50 per hour and can be booked online. Siblings are welcome.

Incredible Kids provide a safe place for families with young people who have additional needs to come together and spend quality time as a family, in the hope this will provide a short break from the pressures of family life.
Incredible Kids run inclusive play sessions for children and young people between the ages of 0 up to 25 with additional needs and disabilities and their families.
Parent carers and siblings are welcome at all of the sessions.

These sessions are held at The Vench in Lockleaze, where groups run on the weekends, school holidays and after school and include quiet sessions and ones for new families.

The Special Friends Club is a charity organising activities in the school holidays and at weekends for families with disabled children and young people from 3 to 25 years old residing in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
The purpose of the club is for the whole family to attend activities together including siblings, enabling them to make connections, share experiences with other families and therefore feel less isolated.
They offer a wide range of activities - e.g., cinema, swimming, cycling, bowling, visits to animal and adventure parks, trips to the theatre, visits to nature parks, etc. - as well as subsidised weekends away a couple of times a year to holiday parks.
Bristol families are welcome to apply - an application form is available to download on their website.

Who are Bristol Parent Carers?
We are a non-profit organisation based in Bristol, consisting of volunteer parent carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). As a pan-disability charity, we provide information and support to all families, regardless of their child’s type of need or diagnosis status.
We work with local SEND services to ensure that the support and services they offer suits the needs of families.
By working together we can help ensure families, children and young people get the right support, at the right time, and in the right way.
We aim to empower families by keeping them informed of the full range of local support options available to them, so they can access the resources they need.
